I already told you that to start these business you need 5 tools, as simple as that.

What’s a Hot information product?

Get a HOT information product that you know people are dying to lay their hands on.

Just sit down and write what you know. If you know how to make women get earth

shattering orgasm, write it down. If you know how to design websites using joomla

write it down.

Anything you know that can benefit people in one way or the other, just compile it and

turn it to an information product. It could be in form of PDF material, mp3 or video.

And then you have an Information product.

I’m sorry to spoil the fun…

One guy once contacted me that He wanted to sell some stuff online and he needed my

help. I asked him what he wanted to sell and he said he could write inspirational poems

and he wanted to sell them online.

I’m sorry but who will buy inspirational poems online?

I definitely told him no and advised him to sell something that people want to buy.

HOW DO YOU DETERMINE WHAT PEOPLE WANT?

This is a problem for a lot of people. They don't know how to determine what a lot of

people want so they can create products for them. For you, it's shouldn't be a problem

because am going to show you how.

Identify A Problem.

This is the fastest way for you to succeed with your product. Can you come up with a

product that can help solve a problem for people?

Once you can identify a problem, you're ready to make money.

You’ll definitely need to sell a hot information product if you are really going to make

big money from information marketing. Because this is where many people get it

wrong.

From one Akin Alabi mail he sent me, he said:

“Sell what people want, leave the big guys to sell the need”

There’s a BIG difference between what people WANT and what they NEED.

Of course it’s true, an HOT information product is what people want.

Many Nigerian youth will rather spend their money on buying information product that

reveals how to open and verify a paypal account than an infoproduct that teaches how

to pass JAMB.

Of course, people need to pass JAMB and go to school, don’t they??

But I bet you, many guys who haven’t gotten admission and the undergraduates will

rather learn how they can get a verified paypal account.

I’m not trying to say that you sell how to open paypal account but you should be able

to distinguish what people want from what they need.

For example, which desire would you respond to first: to buy a new shirt, or to run out

of a burning building?

That is how simple is it to know if the market/product you are working on is a hot one

or not.

There are issues that people have and they are willing to pay lots of money to get a

solution that would help them get rid of it.

So once you have written down what you know or get someone to that for you then

you turn it into an easily transferable material in the form of PDF, mp3 or the likes.

What about if I don’t know to write?

Simply get Private Label Rights or Reprint Right product in that subject you wish to sell.

If it’s private label right products, you sell and keep all the profit for yourself, you can

even go as far as altering the price and author of the product.

But for reprint rights its totally different case because here you can sell it and keep all

the money, you usually cannot alter the content of the material. If you do, you will be

infringing the rights of the author.

Interview An Expert

Once you have decided on a topic, identify an expert in that field and interview him.

Record the interview and use it as an audio information product. You can turn it into a

manual by transcribing it.

A lot of people think that the experts will not agree to be interviewed. They are wrong.

The only way you will not get people to interview is if you do not ask. If you ask

politely, people will agree.

Even the experts want publicity.

Conduct A Seminar/Training

This is another simple way to go about it. It is similar to the one above. Organise a free

or cheap seminar and have it recorded. Your recording becomes an information

product. You don't have to be the speaker. Invite an expert and just do the recording.

Easy!

But what I would really advise is that you should sell your own Information product. So

you can have total control. In Business, Control is key.

What Next After The HOT Information Product?

Well after getting a hot information product, the next thing is to get a website. Some of

the times this is where people start to feel this is hard work. But it isn’t…

Simple, just get either a .com,.com.ng, .info etc. domain name and webhosting plan.

I shake my head in pity when I see people using blogger or blogspot.com domains

when you can get a good domain name and hosting plan up and running for the full

year for mere peanuts.

Infact get serious in your business. If you want to sell online and make good money

don’t use a free tool. You will end up regretting it.

You might use it for a start if you are low on capital but once you make enough profit

that’s sufficient for a paid one, then move on quickly.

So I said you should get a website and hosting plan. This is where you will be running

your business from…Just like your online shop.

What you will do next is to create the right sales copy for your information product.

A sales copy is simply an explanation of your product, done in such a way that it makes

people want to buy.

The best way to learn how to write sales copies is to head over to www.clickbank.com ,

then click on Marketplace at the top and start visiting different websites. You will notice

how they write beautiful words that make you want to buy those stuff even if you do

not need them!

If you cannot write good sales copies yourself, get someone to write it for you and pay

for it. A lot of packages already have a ready made sales copy that comes with them.

All you need to do is grab those sales copy and re-work them to make them unique and

use them to sell your own stuff. Fast, easy and efficient.

Now that you know what a sales copy or sales page is. The Next thing you need is a

squeeze page.

What’s a Squeeze page?

A squeeze page is simply a webpage that does the job of collecting prospects contact

details. Contact details like name, email address, phone number etc. Before I explain

how did is done, let me break it down.

First, what’s does the word prospect mean?

A prospect is simply someone that has signified interest in what you are selling. He has

not bought from you at this stage so you’ll call him a prospect. When he has exchanged

money with you in return for your information product or any service, that’s when he’s

called a customer.

Research has proven that people will mostly buy from you after they have seen they

have been convinced to buy about 3 times or more. Did you get this?

Well am sure that no matter what you have purchased online, you must have seen the

advert more than once. The seller must have contacted you through other means about

3 times or more to explain the benefit that his product or service will bring to you, after

this you probably decided to buy from him.

The reason why you need to collect the contact details of a prospect before you show

him what you are selling is because he might not believe you initially.

But after telling him the benefit of your product, showing him testimonials and proofs

later on…he might probably believe you and decide to invest in your product.

Besides you might also have other offer in the future that the prospect might be

interested in and he will buy that from you.

This is why they say…”The Money Is In the List”.

Like I earlier said that the squeeze page is simply a webpage that collect contact details

of prospect. What you do is simply to gave away something valuable to the person in

exchange for his contact details (most importantly his email address).

You might decide to give away a free report, or e-course, or video in exchange for his

contact details. In turn he would receive the free report in his email, if he agrees to do

so.

You should choose to do it like this because some people are lazy and can enter wrong

details just so they can get your free stuff.

By the help of the service called an autoresponder, getting these contact details is not

hard. You simply need to collect a code from your autoresponder and paste it in your

squeeze page, then you can start collecting the names and email address of prospects

easily.

This is the process known as LIST BUILDING. A list is simply a collection of the

prospects contact details who share similar interest.

For example, I know that almost all the people in my list joined because they are

interested in making money online. So the tips and information I will be sharing with

them will be how they can make money using the internet.

But of course they would be surprised and pissed off if I start sending them mails on
